Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) arranges an international symposium on wood products industries to raise the key importance of wood products cluster in the European bio-economy. The future bio-economy can form the basis for a variety of applications of wood based products, building and living with wood among other things. The symposium gives ideas and shows pathways how stakeholders, enterprises and decision makers in public policy and research funding could support this development in Europe considering also the regional aspects.
The first day consists of presentations given by leading European bio-economy and wood products cluster experts, followed by interactive panel discussions, where the audience can challenge the speakers. In the subsequent business forum the participants will get familiar with a selection of innovative company solutions through flash presentations and small-group discussions.
The second day program invites the participants to discuss, plan and network to produce ideas for further collaborative actions. The program is completed with an Excursion to wood terminal and wood product industries companies and production sites.
